ESTONIAN SINFONIETTA ON THE WAY TO VIENNA
On Friday, March 25th, Estonian Sinfonietta will perform in the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus under the baton of Finnish conductor Emilia Hoving.
Stops ON THE WAY TO VIENNA will be made on February 26th 7 PM at Concert Hall Estonia and on February 27th 5 PM at Jõhvi Concert Hall.
Program of the concerts is framed by the Symphonies No. 1 and No. 104 of Joseph Haydn. Estonian music is presented by the works of Arvo Pärt - “Fratres”, soloist Rūta Lipinaitytė, and “Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten”. From Finland, “Hava” by Lotta Wennäkoski will be performed. At the concert in Jõhvi in honor of Veljo Tormis his „Nostalgia” will be played.
The pre-concerts are the stage debut in Estonia for Emilia Hoving as well as the Estonian premiere of “Hava” by Lotta Wennäkoski.
